Dear Coach Chaplick,

     This is Mrs. ██████. ██████'s mom. I'm just updating you on ██████ and how he is doing at ██████. He is doing really well. All of his profesors love him, he hasn't missed a class, tutoring, study hall, anything. I keep in touch with his counselor and he has been holding a C average. He has never been ineligible. His professors report back to the football staff, and they can't say enough about him. He was disappointed about being red-shirted but he got through it. It was hard for him to stand on the sidelines at each game. We have been going to every game since he got there.

     We went to the spring game and the coaches told him he did a HECK of a Job. He should have a chance to play this year. He is the fastest lineman on the team so far. They had him running with the D-Backs at one point. He has gotten bigger and maybe an inch taller. He works out when he doesn't have to and has been keeping his cholesterol down. He told counselors what got him through as far as his work and study habits was the teachers that worked with him at Milford. He hasn't let anybody tell him he can't get through college and we are very proud of the job he is doing right now. He takes summer classes each semester, which is putting him ahead as far as his credits to graduate.

     I just want to thank you and your staff on the wonderful/excellent job you did with ██████. Even going beyond your duty to take care of his cholesterol and making sure he ate right. This has been long overdue, but I just wanted to let you know how he is doing and we will never forget you or the staff at Milford Academy.
