Roy Istvan enters his 2nd season at Milford Academy. His coaching duties this year will include our quarterbacks. In 2006, Roy, as Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach introduced the 'Pistol' Offensive to Milford Academy. This innovative scheme led to a banner offensive year for the 2006 squad. In particular, our running backs flourished. Graig Cooper (Miami) ended the season as the No. 1 rated Prep back in the country (from #77). Backs LeSean McCoy (Pittsburg), Bo Harris (Auburn) and Robert Hightower (Ohio) also benefited from the 'Pistol' with 4 year scholarships. He came to Milford from the University of Buffalo where he was Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for 5 seasons. While at UB, Istvan's Offense helped freshman TB, Aaron Leper, earn MAC Freshman of the Year and break single season rushing records. Istvan and his wife Kristin have three children; Jaylin (12) and twins Kambria and Zachariah (8).
