Coach Mark Welch is another member of our Connecticut connection. He will coach wide receivers and Head Special Teams for the Falcons this year. Over a ten year career, Mark has most recently been the head Coach at Winsor High where he compiled a record of 59 wins and only 37 losses (a .615 winning percentage). He won 1 State Final, 2 State Semi-Finals and 2 CCC West Championships. Mark has coached Terrance Knighton (Milford/Temple/Jacksonville), Chris Baker, Penn State/Hampton U/Denver Broncos, Nollis Dewar,UConn/U. of N. Ala, Damik Scafe, Boston College, Alan Levy, FAMU/UConn, Malcolm Pinder, UConn, Pitt and Matt Singleton, U of Pittsburgh. Mark is married to Raquel and is the father of Kelli Welch, Mark Welch 2nd and Amber Owens. He is the head proctor on the 3rd floor at the Academy. Welcome aboard, Coach!
